Our History
Cathedral House Montessori School was opened in 1986 on the campus of Christ Church Cathedral to serve working professionals in the downtown Houston area. In 2003, Metropolitan Montessori Schools entered into a long-term Educational and Administrative Services Agreement with Cathedral House Episcopal School (CHES) to continue the early childhood education formally operated by Cathedral House Montessori School.
Since its inception 23 years ago, CHES has developed into one of Houston's premier early childhood education facilities. Operating on a Montessori platform of education, CHES offers children an exceptional educational curriculum and parents a multitude of ways to be involved in the education of their children. CHES is committed to healthy child and family development and recently was designated as a Brazelton Touchpoints Recognized facility.
Metropolitan Montessori Schools, Inc., is a Houston-Area organization committed to the provision of quality early childhood education and training for early childhood professionals.
