Cathedral House will be closed on Monday, December 26th through Monday, January 2nd for Winter Break!! We would like to thank all of our families for their generosity this holiday season and for another great year at CHES!! We hope everyone has a wonderful break and a new year filled with joy!!

Holiday Program Tonight

The Cathedral House Episcopal School 2011 Holiday Program is tonight at 5:15 pm in the Great Hall!! Parents are encouraged to come early to get a good seat. Parking is limited in the Cathedral Garage so please allow extra time in case the garage is full. We will validate your ticket upon entering the program and will redirect parking if necessary. Come watch your little ones perform your favorite holiday songs from places all over the world!!

Miroma Photos for Sale

The images from the Fall Festival are now online!! You can view them by going to the website (http://www.miromaphotography.com) click visit site, client login, and type the password all in lower case letters. Please note that all orders placed before December 5th will not incur any shipping fees and can be picked up at the Cathedral House office the week of December 12th. Payment for your order must be delivered to the office by December 5th as well. Orders can be placed for another month after the December 5th deadline but will incur a small shipping fee. Miroma Photography will be giving a part of the proceeds from the print sales back to Cathedral House!!

NAEYC News

As you may have noticed, we are on the second round of Child Development Associate (CDA) classes!! Five of our teachers are in their second week of their 120 hour class requirement, taught in-house by Ms. Connie. After completing the class, they will be observed by a field adviser, distribute parent questionnaires, and prepare for testing. Congratulations to Ms. Yolanda, Ms. Monique, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Jackie, and Ms. Shatavia for undertaking such a big commitment to better themselves and the school!! We are getting closer and closer to becoming a NAEYC accredited school!!

Family Feast Tonight

Our Family Feast is tonight at 5pm in the Cloister!! Parking is available in the Cathedral garage on San Jacinto with validation at the front desk. Come meet and mingle with other Cathedral House families, teachers, and staff while we enjoy a pre-Thanksgiving feast!!

Pumpkin Contest

Each class decorated their own pumpkins to celebrate Halloween!! We lined the front desk and numbered them 1 through 10. The parents picked out their favorites and the votes were tallied last week. Drum roll, please!! The winner of our 2011 Pumpkin Contest is..Nursery I!! To see all of the creative ideas the classes had, take a look at the pumpkins below!!

Did you miss the Moms vs. Teachers Softball game? Well, here is a sneak peak of some of the fun we had last Saturday! Ms. Wilson was our in house professional photographer for the event and will be selling the pictures she took online. Fall Festival tomorrow

REMINDER: Don’t forget to join us for our Fall Festival tomorrow afternoon!! The festival will kick off with the “Parade of Costumes” and continue after the parade as each class will have their own booth filled with fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. Hope to see you there!!
