Cathedral House Playground Capital Campaign Update
Let's Come Together for the Playground Campaign Kick Off Dinner.
We hope that you, your children, extended family and close friends will join us on Wednesday, August 5th at 5 pm for a fun time and a delicious complimentary catered dinner. We will briefly share information about our progress on the Playground Campaign and exciting donor recognition opportunities, and we will unveil an art display that will be mounted in the playground to recognize the many generous donations made to the Playground Fund. Sign up sheets will be posted on classroom doors. Be sure to keep an eye out for details!
Spanish Club/Lessons.
We have news of another creative donation. Ms. Patricia has made plans to offer Spanish club/lessons on her day off and has generously volunteered to donate all proceeds from the fee for the lessons to the Playground Fund. Group size will be limited with lessons on Friday afternoons, running August to December. Keep an eye out for sign up sheets with details. And, let's all be sure to express our sincerest appreciation to Ms. Patricia and also to Ms. Rosa who plans to intermittently interrupt her retirement to help out with the club/lessons!
Pennies for Playground Competition.
The month of August will also see the kick off of our Pennies for Playground competition. Each class will have a container to put loose change in, and at the end of the month, the class that has collected the most money will win an ice cream party!! Of course, if Nursery I wins, we'll serve applesauce!
Where to Learn More.
Check out the board in the school lobby to better visualize the new playground and to see a rendition of the playground and pictures of a similar playground similar to what we have planned for CHES. FAQ's are up at http://www.discoverches.org/events/cathedral.house.playground.campaign.php. You will find plenty of great information, including links to see the equipment planned for the playground.
New Donations.
We will soon be updating the fundraising board to reflect new donations or pledges. From time to time, we will share exciting announcements about our progress.
Selling the Donated Vehicles.
We plan to sell the donated 1999 Dodge Ram (73,000+ miles) and a 2001 International Truck (a box truck with 12,000+ miles). If you could be of help in selling the vehicles, please contact Teri Jackson or Lizzette Palmer.
