1 Carrot, 2 Carrots, 3!

April 11, 2017 by Movement One

Good Morning!

Today in morning circle Ms. Ruth presented a new lesson – carrot counting. This lesson includes a bigger carrot that stores smaller carrots. We counted the smaller carrots and then took turns placing the carrots back into the big carrot. This lesson helps develop fine motor skills because in order to pick the carrots up the children either had to grasp or pinch the carrots in order to place them back inside. The larger carrot provided us the opportunity to practice open/close. – a great practical life skill development.

Have a nice day!
