October Fun!

October 5, 2016 by Movement Two

One of our favorite months is here! During October we will enjoy special themed songs and activities. Today Warner dressed up as a mummy. The kids loved it!

P.S. You might hear the children refer to it as “Momia” since we have been practicing our Spanish.

October 5, 2016 by Kindergarten

This morning during circle time the children enjoyed the presentation of pumpkin addition. Understanding the concept of addition and identifying the symbol for it is an important skill for the children to become very comfortable with. Practicing addition at home with your child is an easy activity to incorporate.

This morning was our Yoga class. This class has been a trial class to see how the children react to it. I can tell you they have favorable reactions. Are they talking about it with you at home? If so, we would like to hear what they are saying about it.

Book orders are going home today. They will be in your child’s backpack and will be due Monday, Oct. 12.

Tomorrow is Jumpbunch class. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for this class.

Boo!

October 5, 2016 by Movement One

Happy Wednesday!
This week the children have been working hard creating sun catchers. Everyone really enjoyed touching the sticky contact paper and placing the crepe paper. Make sure to check out our “little boos” on our hallway window. Have a nice day!

Toddler One October Lessons

October 4, 2016 by Toddler One

The children are very excited about our new lessons and activities for this month! They had a very busy yet fun-filled day.

Here we have a nesting, sorting, and a clothespin lesson. They are enjoying working and learning!

Today we also learned what calabaza, fantasma, and bruja means in Spanish. Do you know what they mean? The toddlers are very excited to learn these new words!

As Halloween approaches, the children are helping us decorate the whole classroom! Today they made pumpkins by crushing tissue paper into a ball and glue them onto a pumpkin template. Come and check out our bulletin board today!
