Today we had a lot of fun in leaf piles! We explored the different kind of leaves and talked about how some leaves are soft, hard, bumpy, torn, and whole. We also talked about the different parts of the leaf – the blade and petiole.

We kicked off this week with new playground toys. We were very intrigued and loved exploring all of our new toys.

This week’s highlight is our classroom loft. Our children love the loft – it is one of our classroom staples. The loft allows children to practice, explore, and better their gross motor skills. By going up/down steps, through tunnels, and down/up ramps children develop balance, coordination, and body awareness. The loft features a mirror and windows that allow the children to interact with one another. Our children love sitting on the steps and chatting. Check out two of our friends enjoying the loft.

Today we had lots of fun in Arts Alive with Ms. Wendy. She introduced us to a new friend – Ms. Mahogany. On this Arts Alive adventure we transformed into mermaids and had lots of under sea fun.
