We got to enjoy playing balloon tennis in the basement and then finished off our playtime wearing cool star shades. Have a safe and happy 4th!!

Shark Week Day 2

June 28, 2016 by Primary Two

Today our study was on the hammerhead shark. Cool facts we learned;

-it has no nose so it breathes thru its gills

-if it stops swimming it can’t breathe

-it has a flat head & big eyes

-it has a soft skeleton which allows it to bend & twist

-cartilage is what its bones are made of like our ears

I also introduced our shark water exploration tub. It has 14 different types of sharks that the children can observe and play with. It also contains a few other sea creatures.
