Happy Birthday Nathan!

Thank you for sharing special snacks with us.

The children enjoyed using their gross motor skills crawling through a tunnel. They

had turns going backwards through the tunnel too. Ask your child their favorite way to crawl through.

Tuesday, Oct. 31. The Kindergarten class will have a small Halloween Party. If you are planning on bringing special treats for your child to pass out, please remember we are a nut free school. We have 15 children in the Kindergarten class.

This morning the children enjoyed practicing their eye/hand coordination skills by hammering golf tees into a pumpkin. This activity will be available through Halloween unless it begins to rot before then.

We had a visitor in our class this morning. It was a moth. This moth flew around the room a bit. The children did great with their self-control while he was checking things out. The moth finally took a break and landed on Conor. Conor was helpful in catching it. This moth is now available for the children to observe up-close. The moth we caught looks similar to this picture.

Tomorrow is The Fall Festival. Please bring your child’s costume to school and we will help them change before the parade begins. Please let a teacher know if you are unable to attend the Festival.

The Kindergarten class will have a small celebration in class on Tuesday, Oct. 31. If you are planning on bringing special treats for your child to pass out, please remember we are a nut free school. We have 15 children in the Kindergarten class.

This morning during Soccer Shots the children practiced their inside chop move. They also played a game that helps teach control called Day time and Night time. When its daytime the children moved around the outside of a circle. Once it was time for night they had to quickly, with control of the ball go inside the circle and fall asleep. Ask your child to tell you more about their time in soccer.

Tomorrow is Chapel. This class begins at 10:30.

Important News! The fall Festival has been moved from Friday to Thursday, Oct. 26. Please let me know if you will not be able to attend.

This morning the children worked in the Monday language area with missing letters. Once the child completed their concrete activity they moved on to the paper work. This fun candy corn worksheet helped encourage an interest for this lesson.

Jack the Skunk visited us during music class. The children had fun with him and singing the Yum,Yum Bubble Gum song.

Tomorrow is Soccer Shots. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for this class.

This morning the children enjoyed their Free choice Friday day. This is where the children get to independently choose their 1st Montessori lesson to work with unless they have incomplete work from the day before. By experiencing Free choice Friday’s, the children further develop their independence, self-guidance and learn to pay attention to their academic abilities.
