This morning during circle time we reviewed our sight words and started building sentences with them. Nathan Has composed the sentence, He is three. This lesson will help further develop recognition of sight words and build their reading level.

Tomorrow is Chapel. This class begins at 10:30.

We will be taking pictures of the children this week for a special Graduation video. The only thing I’ve asked of them is to have their hair brushed and teeth brushed before coming to school. There is no need to worry about fancy clothes.

This morning the children enjoyed observing a yellow jacket and its hive. This Science observation brought a lot of discussion about bees and wasps. Ask your child to tell you more about our observation of this insect and its home.

Monday is Music class. This class is at 2:30.

This morning the children busily and excitedly worked in the Sensory area with lessons such as color box 2 (visual, teaches recognition of color words) emotion 3 part cards (visual and seeing, helps children understand and verbalize correct feeling and emotions) Sudoku cubes ( visual, helps with puzzles and problem solving) This area helps reinforce the 5 senses, seeing, hearing tasting, touching and smelling. Sound cylinders (hearing, helps refine the sense of hearing), etc. Ask your child their favorite Sensory lesson.

A special thank you to all family members who were able to attend our special chapel service, The Children’s Way of the Cross. The children were on their top-notch behavior as Ms. KariAnn and Father Art presented this story.
