This afternoon the children went to Treebeards and helped decorate a tree with their handmade ornaments. Make sure you admire this beautiful tree if you have lunch there soon.

This morning the children enjoyed a simple folder game that allowed them to dress bears with appropriate clothes for certain weather. Ask your child to tell you more about this activity.

During Soccer Shots the children practiced their soccer skills of dribbling, pull back, popcorn and other moves. Do you get a chance to watch your child practice these moves at home? Many children are very good with them. The new winter schedule will begin January 9. Your child will have more info. In his/her backpack.

Please let us know A.S.A.P if your child will not participate in the Holiday Program. The program is Thursday, Dec. 14.

Book orders are going home today. Please ask your child for them. They are in their backpack.

This morning everyone transitioned back into their school routine well. They appeared ready for Montessori and everyone worked well with respect and focus. We are glad to see everyone back and well. Our lesson this morning is the Addition Magnet Board. The children are progressing nicely to solve addition problems quickly.

Is your calendar marked for the Holiday Program? We will be practicing for this exciting event and the presence of your child will be needed. If your child will not be participating in the Holiday Program, please let me know A.S.A.P.

Tomorrow is Soccer Shots. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for this class.

This morning we played a new game in the class called Trouble. Some children made it known that they have this game at home. Several children are beginning to play more games that take another player. Games are a fun way for children to practice waiting, taking turns and sometimes cause and effect. Do you have game night at home with your child?

We also read this book today. It is a great book about chores and how a child is learning responsibility at home by completing the things on her chore list before going to the park. The children also learned a new word from this book, Procrastination.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Families that are out next week.
