Our lesson this morning is called the Subtraction Stripboard. This lesson helps reinforce subtraction and the children can develop a concrete understanding of what subtraction is and looks like. When working with your child at home on subtraction encourage them to read the problem before answering it and after answering it.

During Jumpbunch class the children had a fun time practicing their coordination skills by throwing a disk for another person to catch.

Let’s cheer on our Houston Texans team tomorrow by wearing their shirts and or colors.

The children did a wonderful job this morning reviewing the Parts of a Clock. The parts we are working with are the clock, face, hour hand and minute hand. We also worked with telling time by the hour this morning. They caught on to that rather quickly. When practicing telling time at home with your child a clock with hands and numbers is recommended.

Monday is music class. This class begins at 9:00.

Have a safe, warm and cozy week-end!

This morning the children worked very well. They were focused and had lots of concentration with their lessons. They also enjoyed learning about the parts of a clock. Trying to keep the minute and hour hand straight is a bit of a challenge at this time. I’m sure they will have it figured out soon, though.

Did you hear that we watched the Holiday Program yesterday? The children had a great time watching it on a big screen and enjoyed the yummy popcorn too. Thank you to Ms. Carrie Ann for inviting us into the church’s media room to watch it.

Tomorrow begins the new semester for Dance class. Please make sure you have registered them for the Spring semester if they will be participating in this extra-curricular activity.
