Hello Everyone!

We hope you had a fun weekend. This morning during Circle time the children worked on building body awareness, movement and position words as they practiced passing the ball Over their heads, Under/Between their legs and passing the ball to one another in a circle. Later we played the “Freeze Game ”and had fun dancing and stopping when the music stopped.

We hope you are enjoying the cooler weather. The children definitely are! This morning some of our busy bees started collecting leaves to form a leaf pile. The anticipation and excitement grew as the leaf pile got larger and the temptation to jump in became more intense. Finally, the little people (BOYS) could not stand the wait any longer and they all jumped in! Screams and squeals of delight filled the air as leaves flew everywhere. Before you knew it the leaf pile was no more, but the joy on their little faces were priceless.

How was your day? Have you noticed that the leaves are changing colors and falling to the ground?? We have!! It was the perfect opportunity to have a review lesson about the parts of the tree and discuss the changes that occur in the “Fall.” We also had fun making trees of our own.

Welcome Back!! This morning the children were excited to see each other and share a little about their weekend. During circle time, we introduced the idea of “Being Thankful” what that means to the children, in their everyday lives. We also had a lesson about the concept Land, Air, Water.

Happy Halloween was the cry as all the children entered the classroom this morning. They were so excited to finally get to say those words. During circle time, Avery O and Reid passed out special Halloween treats. We had tasty Halloween cupcakes for snack and had lots of fun learning to do “The Monster Mash” as we boogied to the beat.
