Hello!!

We hope everyone is having a great day! This morning we explored the colorful world of Pablo Picasso. The children viewed some of his art pieces and then set out to let their creative juices flow, as they made their very own mini Picassos. Being an artist is fun!!

Lights! Camera! Action!!

Hi There!!

For the past two weeks the children have been excited to learn new poems and finger plays that are a part of the festive Halloween season. Today, the children did a fantastic job as they participated in a wonderful short skit, portraying the Five Little Jack O Lanterns. It’s Thursday!!!

Is everyone ready for the pumpkin patch??? Many of the children wore the cutest little outfits in anticipation for the upcoming event. However in the classroom we continued exploring the world of visual spatial intelligence. Today the children were introduced to three different types of artist and their work:- Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, and Claude Monet. We then created our variations of “ A Starry Night” from Vincent Van Gogh.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful week thus far. This morning Smith and Joanna worked together as a team with the Knobbed Cylinder Blocks. This lesson builds a visual awareness of discriminating sizes and dimensions.

Hi Everyone!

What a beautiful day!! This month we will be focused on developing visual-spatial awareness in the classroom. Children with visual-spatial intelligence often enjoy building with blocks, sculpting with clay, enjoys art and viewing pictures as well as having an eye for patterns and puzzles. This morning the children built/created their very own artistic creations with the use of gumdrops and toothpicks. It was a lot of fun and all the children were diligent and focused students.
