Welcome back!!

This morning the children were in great spirits as they started off their day. The excitement continued as we headed to music to see the one and only Mr Jason.

The children were happy to see “Bob the Clam” again and see his funny antics. They also enjoyed playing “Name That Tune” as Mr Jason played different songs on the flute,

which he brought in to share. Our time in music came to an end with a rousing dance party number called “Eat It!” Which was dedicated to all the picky eaters. See you later alligators!!

Happy Earth Day!! This morning during circle we read the book “The Lorax” as we introduced and planted seeds of inspiration, about being responsible and taking care of our earth. We later watched a short clip, about how trees are made into paper, and how we can recycle used paper ,so as to save future trees from being destroyed. See you next week.

When they came indoors, the children had a lesson on the parts of the flower and an opportunity to observe it’s parts.

Good Afternoon! Did you know that circles have no sides and no corners! Well here is what the children had to say about circles.

· A circle goes around and around.-Emma

· A circle is a shape -Tate

· A circle is like a tire -Sadie

· A circle is like a letter -Ava

· You can make a circle with your hands -Cate

We then explored a bit as we found creative ways to work with circles. During outdoor play time we played ring around the rosie. The best part of course was…We all fall DOWN!!!
