Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Today we celebrated Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the courage of the Mexican people during the battle (La Batalla de Puebla). We celebrated the day with “Polvorones” aka sugar cookies. We also created some hot artwork – check it out on our door!

Happy Thursday and Happy Star Wars Day!

Star Wars Day is the celebration of the galaxy far, far away so Movement I had to celebrate of course! We spent the day playing Princess Leia and Darth Vader. We all started off as young Padawans (jedi in training)but by the end of the day we all achieved Jedi status. Everyone enjoyed showing off their light saber skills and by the end of their training these Jedi worked up an appetite – so of course Star Wars graham crackers were called for.
