Did you know that a flower has parts that are boys and girls?

We worked in the science area with the flower nomenclature lesson. We are learning the names of some of the parts of the flower. The calyx holds the flower together, the corolla is made up of petals, the stamen are the boy parts of the flower, and the pistil is the girl part of the flower. The children were surprised to discover the flower had a boy and a girl part.

Today was the last class for Soccer Shots this semester.
