We read Splat Says Thank You! by Rob Scotton about Splat reading a book to his friend Seymore about all the ways he is thankful for him. The children started thinking about things they are thankful for.

New Chapter

November 14, 2017 by Toddler One

Good afternoon, parents! We hope you’re all having a wonderful Tuesday!

We would like to welcome Anna and Nora to our Toddler I family! They are transitioning this week and they are already showing eagerness to learn all of our classroom lessons and rules. Today we worked on our spooning skills. Ms. Faith did an awesome job demonstrating the lesson for them step by step. They were very excited to try it all by themselves!

Way to go Nora and Anna!

This morning the children enjoyed practicing their fine motor control and eye/hand coordination with the lesson, Feed the Turkey. The children use tweezers to pick up small pom-poms, then tweeze them into the small opening of the jar.

During Soccer Shots the children learned a new move called, Step and Fake. This move is to trick their opponent into thinking they are going in a certain direction.

Tomorrow is chapel. Chapel begins at 10:30.

Do you know your Holiday plans? If so, please inform us of any days your child will miss school during the months of November and December.

Music Class

November 14, 2017 by Primary One

We had a great time in music class yesterday afternoon. Mr. Jason brought in a book about Yankee Doodle and shakers for us to play. The children had a fun time marching and listening to him play a flute that he brought as well as his friend Bob the Clam, the children found it funny when Bob tried to play the flute! We had fun playing a guessing game as Mr. Jason played songs on his flute and we tried to guess what song he was playing the children were great guessers and named all the songs he played!
