Welcome back, we hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

We are learning about manners and read the books Bear Says Thank You and Hippo Says Excuse Me by Michael Dahl. We learned that saying thank you and excuse me is a good way of having good manners and tried our best to practice saying them throughout the day.

During work time some of the children worked with our new Thanksgiving themed Spot the difference work pages. The children enjoyed learning new vocabulary words (Native American, Pilgrim, and canoe) and finding the object that was different in each row.

This morning the children began working with the 100’s Board lesson. This lesson helps teach counting to 100, recognition of numerals, and order.

Tomorrow is Soccer Shots. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for this class.

The Holidays are approaching quickly. Please let us know your child’s school schedule for the months of November and December.

Do you know where popcorn comes from? We are practicing our Spanish vocabulary words for the month, one of the words we learned is elote, which is corn in Spanish. We learned popcorn comes from corn kernels.

The children had fun making an elote(corn) and using popcorn for the kernels. They were a bit sad they could not eat the popcorn we used for the art project but were excited to pop popcorn for us to have for snack!

Arts Alive

We went on a Mermaid adventure in Arts Alive class yesterday afternoon. We swam to Mermaid Island where we made music by playing seashells, dances with an octopus, and tickled each other with our very own octopus tenticles!
