Fall Fun!!

November 9, 2017 by toddlertwo

Hello Everyone!!

We hope you are enjoying the cooler weather. The children definitely are! This morning some of our busy bees started collecting leaves to form a leaf pile. The anticipation and excitement grew as the leaf pile got larger and the temptation to jump in became more intense. Finally, the little people (BOYS) could not stand the wait any longer and they all jumped in! Screams and squeals of delight filled the air as leaves flew everywhere. Before you knew it the leaf pile was no more, but the joy on their little faces were priceless.

Mermaid mania theme. The children pretend to be waves moving in the ocean, crabs crawling on the floor and having fun celebrating a bubble birthday for Octavia the octopus.

Did you know hand are not for hitting? We read the book Hand Are Not for Hitting by Martine Agassi and learned that we can communicate, draw, play instruments, and greet each other with our hands but not hit. We also learned that hands are for being kind and showing love. The children enjoyed the book and are trying to practiced what we learned.

During our circle we worked with our adult and young animal matching lesson in our science area. We matched picture cards of animals as adults with picture cards of them young. We also learned what they are called as adults and children(i.e. tadpole/frog; caterpillar/butterfly).
