We continued to work in our sensorial area this morning. We worked on our stereognostic sense( the ability to identify objects by touch without seeing them) with our Halloween mystery bag lesson. They children were very excited to work with our new lesson!

The children started work on a fun art project. They painted popsicle sticks white, orange, or purple. Keep an eye out for their ghouly work soon!

We worked with our monomial cube and color sorting lessons in our sensorial area this morning. The children used their visual sense of form to make one cube using smaller pieces with our monomial cube lesson and their visual sense of color as they sorted colored birds into their nest with our color sorting lesson.

The children had a fun time in Soccer Shots and were very excited with the new Soccer Shots jerseys. The majority of the children have their jerseys in their cubbies but some chose to wear them.

What’s going today in M2?

October 3, 2017 by Movement Two

Cleaning up after a great deal of outside playtime is important for our MII friends to practice. Great job Anna and Christine!

Lunchtime visits with Aunt Z are always a joy! Julian and his friends love it when Aunt Z stops by to say hello.

What do we use to help us learn about things? We use our 5 senses. Ask your child to name their 5 senses for you. You can practice this skill at home by asking them which of the 5 senses we use to learn more about our soundings. For example. How do you know when someone is cooking? We smell it. So, we are using our sense of smell.

The word of the day in Soccer Shots is, Patience. The children learned that this means to wait your turn kindly. All soccer Shots children received a new Soccer Shots Jersey today. Please check your child’s backpack for it.

Tomorrow is chapel. This class begins at 10:30. All parents of children who had a birthday in Sept. and who have one in Oct. will have a special birthday prayer during chapel time. All these children are asked to bring 5 coins to place in a special birthday bank. All parents of these children are invited to attend with us.
