Hello Everyone!

This morning during circle time we read the book “Pumpkins.” The children learned about the parts of the pumpkin, saw different types of pumpkins and learned a little about the life cycle of the pumpkin. Later some the children diligently worked on perforating their own mini pumpkin. Great job friends!

Welcome back, we hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

We said “good-bye” to our old month and “hello” to our new month and talked about the fun that awaits us this month. The children are excited to read the new books that we put in our library and are very excited for the big event that occurs at the end of the month.

During our worktime the children were busy bees working in all areas of the classroom.

The children had a fun time singing, dancing, visiting with Tiny the Dinosaur, and playing bells in music class.

This morning we discussed light source from a flashlight and learned that a battery placed in it correctly will make it work. The children enjoyed experimenting with taking a flashlight apart and putting it back together. They were very excited when the light turned on after putting it together.

During music class we enjoyed singing Halloween songs like 5 Little pumpkins. Ask your child their favorite Halloween song. Each child also had a turn to play the Bells.

Tomorrow is Soccer Shots. This class begins at 10:30.

Today we enjoyed mixing and exploring with cement. Oh, you would like to know how we made cement? And why would we allow our babies to eat it? We thought outside the box and provided our baby with cake mixed that we added water, to create cement that is harmless. As you can see the babies had a blast with this experience. Asher’s mom was present to see the cement mixing, laying and tasting. Today was great!
