In Kindergarten we have a variety of games that the children play. This game is called, Apple Picking. It helps teach letter recognition of both upper and lowercase letters. Group games are a fun way to help children learn about taking turns, social interaction, sharing, waiting, expanding verbal communication skills and best of all quality time with a friend of family member. What kind of games does your family enjoy playing?

Monday is Music class.

This class begins at 2:30.

Enjoy your weekend and the beautiful weather.

During our work cycle the children worked with some of the apple lessons that have been presented during circle time.

Our dancers had a fun time showing off their dance moves during class. They practiced skipping, galloping, and jumping.

There were lots of smiles during picture time this morning.

We had a great time in Arts Alive! Yesterday. We danced around the world making stops in Mexico where we danced The Mexican Hat Dance and danced with maracas; Brazil where we arrived by train to twirled with friends, flew to Africa where we danced like lions and drove to the airport to fly to Texas where we rode horses to Houston where we caught stars.

This morning in Jump Bunch class the children enjoyed a game of basketball. The children got to practice aiming at the net and shooting. Ask your child how many baskets they made. You will be surprised to find out how well they did.

This afternoon in Arts Alive the children got to dance around the world. We visited many countries along the way including Mexico, Brazil, and Africa. Ask your child which Country they liked best.

Tomorrow is picture day in Kindergarten!

We continued to work with apples in our math area with our apple one to one matching lesson. The children matched two halves of apples( half with seeds and half with numerals) to make a whole apple. Some of the children also worked on numeration with an apple counting worksheet.

The children also had a fun time in Jumpbunch. Coach Luca brought in balls that we got to use to practice our shooting skills with. The children had a great time bouncing the balls and shooting them into a hoop he brought for us. We cannot wait for the fun that awaits us in Arts Alive!

Scholastic book orders are due tomorrow. Please make checks to Scholastic Book Clubs.
