Did you know that an orchard is an apple farm? We read the book Apple Farmer Annie by Monica Wellington and learned about an orchard and the many things that can be made from apples: cider, juice, pies, muffins, etc. The children practiced their cutting skills on an apple sequencing worksheet. The children colored, cut, and glued the stages of eating an apple.
The children learned how to say the words “yes” and “no” in sign language and helped Ms. KariAnn as she read us a story.

Sibling pictures went well this morning. The rest of the Kindergarten children will have their pictures taken on Friday.
During chapel Ms. Kari Ann read a story called, The Chief Priests. It helped us learn that we can change our ways when we choose to do things that are not appropriate. It also taught us the importance of listening. The children enjoyed singing the song, Jesus Loves Me and adding sign language to it.
Tomorrow is Jump Bunch at 10:30 and Arts Alive at 2:00. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for these classes.
Today is the last day to place your child’s book order.
You may do this on line.

Did you know today is Johnny Appleseed’s birthday? We celebrated his birthday by making our own pot hats and tasting fresh apples and dried apples. The children voted for their favorite . The children enjoyed the dried apples the best and we had three children who liked both.
The children had a fun time in Soccer Shots. They were excited to share that they learned that the word determination means to never give up.
Sibling Pictures are tomorrow.
