Do you know how many planets are in our solar system?

In and Out

August 21, 2017 by Nursery Two

Today during exploration, Mary was exploring with the sound blocks. Ms. Angela then gave her instructions to place the blocks inside of the basket. To our surprise Mary placed the block into the basket. We were so excited to see it, we then asked her to do it again. She continued to follow instruction, Mary understands the concept of in and out. Way to go Mary!!!!

This morning we were very excited to be part of history with the Great Solar Eclipse experience. We learned what a Solar Eclipse is and experienced the event by watching it on the computer monitor. We also got to see crescent moon shape shadows on the ground and eat solar eclipse cookies for morning snack. If your child appears to be extra tired this evening it could be due to lack of sleep during nap time since we watched the eclipse on the monitor.

Best wishes go out to Sophie. We hope you have a wonderful school year at your new school. Thank you for sharing yummy cookies and milk with us. We will miss you!

We had a Fire Drill today.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend.

The children were excited for the total eclipse! Did you know there are three types of solar eclipses? We learned that the three types of eclipses are partial, annular, and total. We printed Texas shaped pin hole viewers that the children colored. They practiced looking through it during our playtime.
