This morning during circle time we introduced a second component to an older lesson. The lesson is Sight Words Gumball. The children visually search for matching sight words and read them. Their paper lesson helps reinforce their work and expands their sight word vocabulary with color words.

During music class, the children enjoyed their class time with Mr. Jason. He is always so fun and energetic. They really enjoyed learning about the Reed instrument called the Concertina. A Concertina is similar to an Accordion.

Tomorrow is Soccer Shots. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for this class.

Dino Footprints

July 10, 2017 by Movement One

Welcome back!

We kicked off this week with some Dino footprints. We are focusing on everything Dino this summer and our children have really enjoyed learning about the different kinds of dinosaurs. Today’s activity involved the children dipping the dinosaur feet into paint and then with a upward/downward motion they created their own dinosaur tracks.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend!

We presented a new dinosaur counting card lesson in our math area. The children counted the dinosaurs on each card and marked the correct quantity with a flower button.

Soccer Shots tomorrow!

It’s Monday!!

Welcome back everyone! This morning the children were excited to share all about their fun adventures over the weekend. During circle time the children had a group lesson with the sandpaper letters S, M, T. Individually the children who chose to try the lesson worked on tracing the shape of the letters and saying it’s sound.

We read the book Franklin’s Class Trip about Franklin’s visit to the museum and him thinking there were real dinosaurs in the museum. The children were excited to know that there were no real dinosaurs because they are extinct!

Good times were had at Splash! Lots of happy, wet children.
