Fun in the Sun!

June 21, 2017 by Movement One

Good Afternoon!

Here are a few pictures of our friends enjoying themselves on the playground. Outside playtime is important because it allows children to let out energy and engage in social play. Our friends enjoy the slide and love playing peek-a-boo through the little window.

Have a nice day!

On circle we worked with our dinosaur flashcards and learned about Dimetrodon, Allosaurus, Triceratops, Velociraptor, Pteranodon, and an Ankylosaurus. Did you know that a Dimetrodon is not actually a dinosaur? We learned that it was a pelycosaur( a mammal/reptile-like) and lived before the dinosaurs.

The children had a fun time in soccer shots. They practiced their drills and kicking goals.

This morning the children had a lesson from our sensorial shelf. Visual Patterning is the name of it. This lesson helps reinforce visual skills and problem-solving skills.

During soccer shots, the children warmed up their bodies by marching, jogging, and running in a line. The word of the day is confidence. Ask your child what confidence means? The children practiced their pullback moves in a friendly game called Mr. Fox.

Tomorrow we have Yoga (9:00) and Dance class (9:30).

Will your child be out during the 4th of July week?

If so, please let us know which days they will be out.
