On circle we introduced a new lesson for our practical life area. The children were eager to work with our new seed exploration and bug finding lesson. The children use tongs to tong out bugs out of the bird seed and use a magnifying glass to closer observe the seeds and bugs!

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend.
The children were eager to try our object scrubbing lesson in our practical life area. They were excited to scrub our new object: a rubber duck.
We shook the rainy day blues away with a Fun Fiesta in Arts Alive Class. The children played the maracas, flew like birds, danced and caught stars as our fiesta came to an end. We are sure to continue our fun in music class this afternoon.

Rain, rain go away!! Was the children’s song of choice today, as they watched the rain gently fall outside our classroom window. During circle time the children were introduced to the concept of “Walking On The Line.” This Practical Life lesson focuses on teaching the child control of his body, through conscious co-ordination of movement as well as developing a sense of balance.

Welcome back from your weekend!
This morning the children showed signs of being ready to start back with Montessori work and a normal schedule. Children were busy concentrating on lessons like alphabetical order, double digit addition, reading books, rhyming, etc.
Do you have any great pictures from Graduation? We would love to see them.
Arts Alive was a lot of fun. We traveled to Mexico and learned how to do the Mexican Hat dance and practiced our Spanish speaking skills by naming colors in Spanish. We also traveled in a line while playing Maracas through a town in Mexico.
Last day to sign your child up for VBS is May 31. The cost is 25.00.
Please remember a 45-day written notice of your child’s last day is needed and appreciated. You may stop at the front desk for a departing form.
