Did you know that a butterfly drinks its food? We continued to learn about butterflies and learned that they have tongues that are shaped like a long straw. We also learned that a caterpillar makes new skin as it grows. When it sheds its old skin it is called molting.
The children had a fun time playing musical hoops in Jumpbunch. The children walked around a circle of hoops until the music stopped and quickly found a hoop to stand in . They also had a great time playing with dynabands.
Get well Mollie

Today we learned what a metamorphosis is. We worked with the lifecycle of a butterfly lesson and learned that a metamorphosis is a change. A caterpillar goes through a metamorphosis to become a butterfly in its chrysalis. The children were excited to see a video of a the lifecycle of a butterfly ( https://youtu.be/7AUeM8MbaIk ).
The children enjoyed stretching with Mr. Nick in yoga and singing and listening to a story in chapel with Father Art and Ms. Keri Anne. Today was our last chapel until the fall.
