This morning during Jumpbunch class the children used their gross motor skills and coordination skills by throwing a ball into circles on the floor. This was more challenging than they thought it would be. Ask your child if they could keep their ball inside the circle.

Permission slips for applying mosquito spray and sunscreen will be coming today. After you have read over it and signed it Please return it back to the Kindergarten teachers.

Did you know that a ladybug is also called a ladybird? We learned this fact as well as learning that a ladybug will get new spots as it gets older but usually only live for one month. The children enjoyed watching a video on the lifecycle of a ladybug and working on a worksheet. (https://youtu.be/SvHWxDjfFB8 )

The children had fun playing comet ball during Jumpbunch. The children threw ball that looked like a comet at different colored hoops.

Fairy Garden Fun

Today we had lots of fun in Arts Alive. We were able to plant, water, and become beautiful flowers in a fairy garden.

Soccer skills

Yesterday we had our last class of soccer shots for this session. We were glad to see that some parents were able to attend and see how hard the children have been working on their soccer skills.

We worked on numeration (1-5) and (1-10) with the cards and counters lesson. The children were excited to use ladybugs as the counters.

The children had fun in yoga and enjoyed singing and celebrating our friends who have summer birthdays.

The children are working on Mother’s Day cards and are excited to share muffins, with mom this Friday! Moms and Muffins is this Friday, May 12, 2017 from 7-9 a.m.
