This morning we reviewed vowels by sorting picture cards into the proper Vowel Owl container. This is a fun lesson for the children to practice learning about vowels and building their vocabulary.

Tomorrow is chapel. This class begins at 10:30.

Remember your green on Friday.

This morning we continued to talk about Ireland. We looked at pictures of the beautiful green plants that grow in Ireland.

Did you know a tree is a plant? We worked with our tree nomenclature lesson in our science area and learned that a plant has roots, stem, branches, and leaves.

The children enjoyed listening to the story Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae about a giraffe who didn’t think he could dance until he discovered his own song. Thanks to our friend Smith for sharing his book with us.

This morning during Arts Alive the children enjoyed learning about all types of transportation with wheels. They saw bicycles made for two and pretended to ride one themselves. They particularly enjoyed transforming into Cement Trucks and rolling around the floor. Ask your child to tell you other types of transportation they imagined to be during Arts Alive.

We will not have Soccer Shots tomorrow. The new semester will begin Tuesday, March 21. Is your child registered for the Spring semester?

Friday, March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day. Is your child getting their green ready to wear?

Wheee For Wheels

March 13, 2017 by toddlertwo

Hi!

“ We’re sleepy!!” was the cry, as all the children slowly filtered into the classroom this morning. But after a hearty breakfast and playing in the cool crisp morning air, they were ready to take on one of our Monday favorites, “Arts Alive”. Ms Wendy was chipper as always, and greeted everyone with a welcoming smile. Today it was “Wheee For Wheels” day, as the children stepped into the wonderful world of Arts Alive magic and became the wheels of a train, bicycle, snow plow, cement mixer and more. See you soon.
