This morning the children worked with Composition of Numbers. This lesson helps children compose numbers using thousands, hundreds, tens, and one’s place value. The children got to use concrete materials to re-enforce the association of quantities. The children did a great job with this lesson. We will continue to work with this lesson.

During Music class Mr. Jason brought Tiny the Dinosaur. The children enjoyed signing songs about animals they might see in the Rodeo livestock. Ask your child what livestock animal they got to add to the song.

The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. What to do on a wet, wet day?

Our class read Green Eggs and Ham from Dr. Seuss and discovered Sam just wanted his friend to have a no thank you bite to see if he liked the green eggs and ham. We had fun thinking of words that rhyme as we sang Down By The Bay. We found that words that rhyme sound the same. The wet, wet morning ended with a fun game of Bingo before lunch and hopes for fun times in music as well as a dryer afternoon!
