This morning the children helped with a Science Experiment. We will be observing what happens to celery stalks when placed in colored water. This experiment helps the children develop a clearer understanding of how plants drink water and how the water moves through the plant.

March 1, 2017 by Primary One

Today we said goodbye to the month of February and hello to our new month March. We reviewed the fun things we did in the month and talked about the fun things that await us in the new month.

The children worked on their order, concentration, coordination, and independence skills with a sweeping lesson we presented from the practical life area. The children are practicing sweeping lima beans.

We are ready for Mardi Gras! Thank you, Olivia, for bringing a King Cake for the Kindergarten class to enjoy.

Tomorrow is Yoga and Chapel. Yoga begins at 9:00 and chapel starts at 10:30.

On circle we worked in the language area with two opposite lessons: in front of and behind, and on and under. The children sorted and categorized picture cards of objects and people who were in front of and behind and on and under.

The children are very excited for this afternoon’s parade and to throw beads down to everyone after the parade!
