This morning we worked in the math area with our matching one to many counting lesson. We matched picture cards with different quantity items to the numeral it belonged to.
The children had a fun time decorating bags for our valentine exchange next Tuesday, February 14. Please look below at the sign posted below for information on how to fill out valentines. We have sixteen children in our class.
The children were excited to try a new game during our circle time. We played bingo and the children had a great time playing and were surprised that they could win a prize when they won a game!
The children also started working on an art project. They started their art project by painting a paper plate that they are making into love birds. Be on the lookout for the birds to land in our room soon.
We introduced new Spanish vocabulary words:

flowers-flores roses-rosas
chocolate-chocolate pajama -pijama
mask-mascara
The children had fun playing a guessing game on circle. We gave the children several clues about different object cards that they used to guess what they were, some of the things they guessed were an apple, cereal, corn, and broccoli.
Our visitor came this morning and was very excited to see how well all the children were doing. The children showed respect for each other and for the materials they were working with. Once she left, the children wanted to know where she went. They really do like showing off their knowledge for others.
We will not have Yoga tomorrow. This class will start back next week.
Please feel free to write your child a Love Note. Place it in the file that says, LOVE NOTES. A teacher will collect them in the mornings around 11:30 so we can read them to the children. Please include your child’s name on their note.

Dear parents, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! We have provided supplies in our classroom for you to write one love note per day for your child! We ask you to please take one minute of your time to show and tell your little munchkin how much he/she is loved! We will read the love notes in class every morning during circle time. The children look forward to hearing the love notes from mommies and daddies!
