Hi There!!
Today the children celebrated the birthday of America’s greatest civil rights leader Dr Martin Luther King. We read books about his life and had the opportunity to step outside and be a part of Houston’s annual MLK parade. It was lots of fun.

Our class read a book about Dr. King and talked about his dream to have everyone be kind to each other. The children were excited to attend the MLK Parade that passed by our school. Everyone had a great time looking at the fire trucks, marching bands, cars, getting candy, and taking a picture with Elmo!
The children had so much fun showing off their silliest hats! They were really cool and interesting!

The children had a fun day showing off their silly hats. Our room was filled with sharks, monsters, animals, firemen, and colorful hats! A big thank you to our friend Smith who brought in extra hats for friends to wear.
