Today we introduced the game Candy Land to some of our friends. They really enjoyed playing. We’re hoping to teach them sportsmanship and basic game rules.

Do you know what a small raindrop is called
We read The Magic School Bus: Lost in the snow and learned that a small raindrop is called a droplet. We also learned that it takes one hundred droplets to make one snowflake!
The children had a great time playing frog catch in Jumpbunch class. The children were given baskets on a stick and a stuffed frogs for them to play the game.

This morning the children worked very well. They were focused and had lots of concentration with their lessons. They also enjoyed learning about the parts of a clock. Trying to keep the minute and hour hand straight is a bit of a challenge at this time. I’m sure they will have it figured out soon, though.
Did you hear that we watched the Holiday Program yesterday? The children had a great time watching it on a big screen and enjoyed the yummy popcorn too. Thank you to Ms. Carrie Ann for inviting us into the church’s media room to watch it.
Tomorrow begins the new semester for Dance class. Please make sure you have registered them for the Spring semester if they will be participating in this extra-curricular activity.
Show-N-Tell Thursday
Good morning, dear parents! We are glad to have you back and wish you a happy new year!
The children were so eager to tell us everything they did over the holidays! Today during Show-N-Tell they were very thrilled to show off the new toys that Santa brought them!
Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Today we talked about the weather. We discussed how we have cold weather but not as cold as in other parts of the country and some of the clothes we wear in the colder weather.
The children were excited to work with the new transfer materials in the practical life area, which are winter themed. The children hung mittens on a clothes line, spooned and tonged snow balls, and funnel poured blue sand.
