We presented a new lesson in the Practical Life area that the children were very eager to try. Our new lesson is a cream cheese spreading lesson. The children practiced spreading cream cheese on a piece of bread. They can choose to eat the bread or they can share with a friend. This is a fun lesson that helps the children work on their order, concentration, coordination, and independence as well as sharing.

Today was the last class of the Fall season of Soccer Shots. The children all received a group picture and a certificate.

This morning the children worked with patterning skills. They are learning that patterns have names such as AB, ABB, ABC, etc. When working with your child at home on patterning please include the name of it. This skill will greatly benefit them in the future.

November 15, 2016 by toddlertwo

Hi!! I am Diego and I am three today.

At home I like playing with my robot, but at school the magnetic tiles are my favorite.

My favorite food is rice and beans and sometimes we go to “Sweet Frog” for icecream.

I like the color red.

My name is Reis Childress and I am two.

At home I like playing dinosaurs with my brother Coen.

But at school I like playing with Jaidan, because he laughs with me.

I love ravioli and peas and sleeping in mommy’s bed.

I like the color brown.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend.

We worked with the table setting lesson in our practical life area. We practiced the placement of dishes and silverware and during lunch the children practiced remembering to use their spoons while eating.

Do you know what harmony is? Mr. Jason told us harmony is when a combination of different notes are played or sung at the same time to make a nice sound. He brought in bells to help us create our own harmony.
