HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARAH!!!

November 14, 2016 by toddlertwo

Hello Friends,

It’s Musical Monday and another birthday to celebrate!

Happy Birthday to Arah, and all of our November Birthdays.

We still have a couple more. It is the time of year for celebrations.

Today Music was wonderful as usual! We sang about or favorite dish (PIZZA), in both

English and French. We had a little help from our old pal Jacque the skunk. By the way,

He doesn’t seem too “stinky” since he washes his hair (it’s beautiful by the way),

in strawberry shampoo, and chews on mint leaves all day. So he must be an exceptional

Skunk. He helped us sing “I AM A PIZZA!” Then he sang ‘Freres Jacques” for us. It’s a song

about Brother John sleeping. That’s his favorite song. Then Mr. Jason taught us to play the bells.

We took turns playing a version of the scale Mr. Jason played for us. That was pretty cool!

We also danced to Jazz while Mr. Jason played the flute. It was another amazing day in music!!!

This morning during music class the children danced and sang songs about bears and making a pizza. Mr. Jason brought in bells and a flute today. The children enjoyed playing the bells while listening to Mr. Jason play the flute. Ask your child what song they played with the bells.?

Tomorrow is Soccer Shots. Tennis shoes are safest for this class.

Thanksgiving is approaching quickly. Will your child be out any during the week of Thanksgiving? If so, please inform us of the days they will be out.

Music

November 14, 2016 by Primary Two

Music fun with Mr. Jason is always a blast. He brought in a record and a flute a shared the differences in looks and sound. The children even were introduced to the tap bells. Each child had a chance to play them and some even asked Mr. Jason if he could play along with them. We sang “I am a Pizza,” in English and in French with Jaq the skunk.

Simone and Arah

November 11, 2016 by toddlertwo

Hello!

My name is Simone and I am two years old.

I like playing with Reis, because she goes down the slide with me.

At school I like cutting with scissors and playing in the kitchen.

At home I like hugging mommy and daddy, and playing babies with Tierney.

Pizza and cereal are favorites.

Hi Everyone!!

I am Arah and I am two.

At school my best pal is Diego and we like to hold hands as we walk around the playground.

At home I like playing with my mermaid Ariel, but at school the workbench is my favorite.

At home I like eating pancakes and sausage, but no carrots.

My favorite color is pink.

On circle we talked about how today is a day to say “thank-you” to all those who help to keep us safe. We also saw pictures of some of the branches of the military.

The children colored heart shaped flags for Veteran’s Day. Take a look at their hearts posted on the classroom door.
