Look Who’s Turning 1!

Happy Wednesday!

We would like to wish Olivia .P a very happy 1st birthday! We would also like to thank Olivia’s grandparents for bringing a special snack to share with our Movement I friends. We all enjoyed yummy fruit cups filled with watermelon, cantaloupe, oranges, blueberries, and grapes. Everybody enjoyed their special snack! We hope you enjoy your birthday weekend Olivia!

Yoga has been a big hit with many of the children. So many are putting forth their balancing efforts and doing extremely well with their Yoga moves.

Tomorrow is Jumpbunch and Arts Alive. Tennis shoes are the safest shoes for this class. Girls are encouraged to wear shorts or other coverings under their dresses for these classes.

Friday October 28 is our annual Fall Festival. The parade begins at 4:15 and the Festival begins at 4:30. Please pick your child up in the Kindergarten class after the parade to enjoy the fun festivities with you.

This morning the children practiced their visual and problem solving skills by working with the colored cube lesson. This lesson is just like Sudoku. Have you tried Sudoku before? It’s a great activity for further developing reasoning skills, problem solving skills and the visual skills. It might make a good stocking stuffer too.

The word of the day in soccer shots was patience. Ask your child what patience means.

Did you know there are spiders that have no eyes?

We learned that there are some spiders that live in caves that have no eyes. We also worked with the spider nomenclature lesson and learned the names of some of the spider’s body: eyes, legs, fangs, head, and cephalothorax. We learned that a spider has two main body parts: head and cephalothorax.

The children had a great time doing soccer drills during Soccer Shots.
