This morning during circle time the children were introduced to addition with color beads. This lesson helps enforce addition skills, handwriting skills, recognition of numerals and prepares them for more advanced addition. Ask your child what it means to add. (put everything together and count it) This is an easy concept to practice with your child at home.

During Soccer Shots the children played a great game against each other. Their word of the day was Sportsmanship. They practiced sportsmanship with all the team’s players.

Happy Birthday, Olivia! Thank you for sharing yummy cookies with us.

Tomorrow is Chapel. It begins at 10:30. We will also experience our 1st Yoga class. Girls are encouraged to wear shorts and or shorts under their dresses.

Mr. Jason also brought along Ollie the elephant to help the children learn more about the Djembe drum. Ask your child if they remember what the Djembe drum is made out of?
