Welcome to Kindergarten! Transition from Primary 2 to Kindergarten went smoothly. We enjoyed music class together, choosing cubbies, eating lunch together and experiencing a fire drill together.
Soccer shots begins next week. If your child will be participating in this class, you may register them on line.
It’s Music Monday!
And as always Mr Jason had another trip planned our last trip of the summer to the ocean. The children rowed boats, saw sharks, hung out with Bob the Clam and took a trip on a submarine. This morning the children also participated in our monthly fire drill and did great! We give them all two thumbs up! Have a good evening.
Welcome back, we hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.
We had a fun time in music class. Mr. Jason brought in rhythm sticks for the children to practice playing a quarter and eighth notes. The children had fun singing songs about the beach and fish. Bob the clam joined our class and helped Mr. Jason show the ukulele the children, they each had a turn playing it.
On circle we read the book Gus Grows a Plant by Frank Remkiewicz. In the story Gus the Rhino plants a seed and takes care of it as it grows into a sunflower plant. We reviewed the three things seeds need to grow: air, water, and light. This week we will review the facts we learned about plants, and how they grow.
This morning during our music class we had a fire drill, the children did a fantastic job getting to our safe spot!
It’s fantastic Friday!!!! Today our babies were little scientist. Mixing vinegar and baking soda to get a fizzle result. They had the opportunity to use all of their senses with the experiment. Especially the smell of the vinegar and baking soda.
