Painting with flowers

July 15, 2016 by toddlertwo

Happy Friday Everyone!!

As always the children were hyped and ready to Splash!! But we also took time to enjoy a bit of creativity this morning, as we used the last of our flowers to do some painting. The children learned the word fragile, as they tried to paint/ print with the very soft flowers. They also observed some cause and effect as they saw the flower fall apart when they were not as gentle, which created some interesting textures.

On circle we reviewed the lessons that were presented this week: classification, sequencing, large, medium, small, numeration (1-10), and phonetic object matching cards.

The classroom was abuzz with busy bees as the children worked with the lessons that were presented as well as working with lessons in all areas of the classroom.

The children has a great time during Splash. They had fun getting each other wet and scrubbing the castle(the fort). We hope everyone has a great weekend.

The children were eager to work with a new lesson presented from the math area. We worked on numeration (1-10) and color sorting with our owl counting lesson.

We had a great time in Jumpbunch playing a target game Coach Adrienne brought in for us. The children enjoyed throwing balls at the target. We are excited to discover the adventure that awaits us this afternoon in Arts Alive class.

It’s Amazing Thursday!!

And the children were in great spirits! On line today Ms Avelon presented a flower counting lesson, which can be found in the Math area. The children practiced recognition of numerals 1-5, order of numerals 1-5 and counting out quantities. They also got a chance to have a little sensory experience as they smelled and gently touched each flower.
