Today in music class we helped Mr. Jason and his friend Roscoe the turtle put the music bells in scale (solfege-the correct music term Mr. Jason used). He then invited friends to play the bells and create their own music. And we boogied to funk music (The Motete) with Ms. Jason during free dance time.

We also had a small group lesson on the 50’s board. The children sorted number tiles into number families and then we placed them in order from 1 to 50.

Welcome Back!!! The children all came in with great moods and were excited to start their day. In music Mr. Jason brought his friend, “Roscoe the turtle”, to visit. The children all laughed at Roscoe’s silly antics, played the musical bells and danced to different rhythms at the Dance Party Lounge. See you tomorrow!

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a good weekend.

On circle we worked with the farm family lesson in the science area. We reviewed the families in the lesson: pig, cattle, chicken, sheep, and horse and introduced new families: duck, goose, turkey, rabbit, goat, cat and dog . We are learning the names of the mom, dad, and baby of each family.

The children had a fun time playing the bells and dancing to funk and rock music in music class.

Stop by and take a look at the flower art project we worked on today. The children painted flowers using forks!

This morning during Jumpbunch the children enjoyed practicing their Frisbee throwing skills. Do you have a Frisbee at home? Throwing a Frisbee is a great gross motor activity to practice with.

Our fun didn’t stop with Jumpbunch. It continued with Arts Alive. The children used their imagination to be puppies at a dog show.

Tomorrow is dance class. This class begins at 9:30.

Hi There!! Last week we introduced the concept of Sink & Float to the children. And being the smart little people they are, they quickly realized that there were things that float in the sky, as well as the water. This morning we reviewed the concept to see how much the children remembered and also did a bit of finger painting as we created our hot air balloons.
