Did you know today is Halloween? Our class was full of excited children ready to celebrate!

Our fun started by making lollipop ghost and having delicious jack-o-lantern cookies for snack. The children enjoyed listening to Halloween music(The Monster Mash was a big hit!) as they worked and painted a special Halloween color sheet using Q-tips as brushes.

A big thank you to our friends Simone, who shared Halloween treat bags with us and Jesse who brought in a Halloween book for our story time.

We had a fire drill this morning and the children safely exited the building and walked to the Bishop’s Garden to our meeting spot.

We have had a fun and exciting day!

Welcome back, the children shared some of the fun things they did this weekend( going to visit friends, trick or treating at the park and parents offices, playing with friends, and watching the Astros) it sounds like everyone had a great one!

During our circle time the children reviewed the Spanish Halloween vocabulary words we have been learning throughout the month. They are excited about tomorrow being Halloween! The children worked on Halloween hats and sponge painting are projects.

Music class was cancelled this afternoon but our class still had fun listening, singing, and dancing to Halloween music.

The children enjoyed reviewing the facts we learned about spiders. The children agreed that spiders were fun to learn about.

We practiced our coloring, counting, and cutting skills working on pumpkin counting and orange coloring worksheets.

This morning we acted out the Little Miss Muffet nursery rhyme and also worked on a Miss Muffet sequencing worksheet. The children colored, cut, and glued the nursery rhyme in order of first, second, and last.

In Jumpbunch this morning the children crawled through tunnels. They had fun crawling in and out of tunnels backwards and forwards.

Did you know that a spider’s eyes are just like ours? We saw a video about spiders and learned that spiders have eyes just like us as well as learning that spiders are helpers because they eat bugs that bother us and that all spiders have eight legs .

We worked on numeration (1-5) and (1-10) counting pumpkins on our pumpkin counting work pages. The children were excited to work with the lesson and use our “special” dry erase markers.
