Did you know that a Diplodocus had two spines? We worked with our dinosaur flashcards this morning and learn new facts about dinosaurs. We were surprised to learn that a Pteranodon was not a dinosaur but a reptile!

The children were happy to see Mr. Nick at Yoga this morning and were ready to practice their breathing and stretching excercises.

Our dancers also enjoyed practicing their dance moves in dance class!

Did you know a paleontologist finds dinosaur bones? We saw pictures of paleontologist finding and observing bones. The children are very excited to work with our new dinosaur bone finding lesson. They are excited to become paleontologist themselves!

Lots of running and attempts at scoring goals happened during Soccer Shots this morning. Everyone had a great time!

Yesterday our class had a great time in music class! We learned that an acapella song is a song that is sung without using instruments only our voice. We “travelled to Italy and got to play an Italian instrument called a concertina(which looks very similar to an accordion). There was also lots of singing and dancing, which all the children love!

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend!

We presented a new dinosaur counting card lesson in our math area. The children counted the dinosaurs on each card and marked the correct quantity with a flower button.

We read the book Franklin’s Class Trip about Franklin’s visit to the museum and him thinking there were real dinosaurs in the museum. The children were excited to know that there were no real dinosaurs because they are extinct!

Good times were had at Splash! Lots of happy, wet children.
