This morning we read the book The Earth Book and continued to discuss ways to help our Earth. The children enjoyed working with a new lesson in our science area. We classified picture cards of activities that makes our Earth happy or sad.
The children had a great time practicing their putting skills during Jumpbunch class. We saw some future golfers in our mist!

We read the book Why Should I Recycle? And learned it is the recycle symbol. We also learned that when we recycle we reuse things. The children worked on a Go Green worksheet coloring things that help the Earth.
Today we continued to learn about Earth Day. We read The Berenstain Bears Go Green about the bear family working with their community to help clean up the dump and Bear Country.
This morning’s rain did not stop our class from having a great morning! The children had a great time in soccer showing off their moves. During our mourning recess the children enjoyed playing on the sidewalk with some of our free work. They happily laid down for nap with hopes of the sun drying up the playground in time for recess this afternoon!

This morning we read the book Earth Day by Margaret McNamara and learned that it is a day that we try to help our Earth. We talked about some ways we can help the Earth every day, some of the ideas we came up with are turning off lights and water faucets when we are not using them , picking up trash, and only using things that we need.
Do you know what oviparous animals are? In Arts Alive class we sat in an imaginary nest and used our imaginations to turn ourselves into birds, frogs, snakes, and spiders. We learn that oviparous animals are animals that lay eggs. The children had a great time! We cannot wait for the fun that awaits us this afternoon in music class.
We had a fun filled day! The children had a fun time at our Spring Hat Parade and egg hunt. During our worktime the children worked on decorating foam eggs and bunnies as well as playing tic tac toe. We hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.
