We continued to learn about animals as we read the book Orangutans Are Ticklish. Do you know how you can tell where an elephant is from? We learned that you can tell where an elephant is from by the size of its ears. Elephants that have large floppy ears are from Africa and ones that have small ears are from India. We also looked at a picture of a zebra and tried to figure out if a zebra is white with black stripes or black with white stripes. What do you think?

The children had a great time playing with a birdie and racquet during Jumpbunch. The children also had fun stretching and playing with dynabands.

Our morning started off with stretching and breathing in yoga class. The children were eager to get to our next activity, a visit from the zoo.

Zoo keeper Elizabeth read us a story In the Tall, Tall, Grass and brought four animals for us to look at and pet if, we wanted. We saw a millipede, a King snake named Half pint, a Cochin Rooster named Batman, and a Giant Flemish Rabbit named Fiona.

Our morning fun concluded with singing in Chapel with Father Art and Ms. Keri Ann. What a fun and busy day!

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a good weekend.

Today we worked on the young and adult animal matching lesson in the science area. We learned the names of animals when they are young and when they are adults like a caterpillar/butterfly; gosling/goose; and kitten/cat.

We had a great time in Arts Alive class! We had Fairytale Fun, we rode on magic carpets, danced, ate at the beast’s castle, whistled while we cleaned, skated on ice, and watched lanterns floating in the air. We are looking forward to singing and dancing this afternoon in music class.

The children had fun in Jumpbunch playing paddle ball. The children bounced and rolled balls using a styrofoam paddle.
