We continued to learn about rhyming as we worked with a rhyming lesson in the language area. We matched picture cards of objects that rhyme i.e. rake/cake, boat/goat, pan/can.

The children had a great time in soccer shots and were excited to receive soccer shot socks!

We were happy to see the sun out this morning and enjoyed getting to play outside during recess.

Our class read Green Eggs and Ham from Dr. Seuss and discovered Sam just wanted his friend to have a no thank you bite to see if he liked the green eggs and ham. We had fun thinking of words that rhyme as we sang Down By The Bay. We found that words that rhyme sound the same. The wet, wet morning ended with a fun game of Bingo before lunch and hopes for fun times in music as well as a dryer afternoon!

Today we said goodbye to the month of February and hello to our new month March. We reviewed the fun things we did in the month and talked about the fun things that await us in the new month.

The children worked on their order, concentration, coordination, and independence skills with a sweeping lesson we presented from the practical life area. The children are practicing sweeping lima beans.
