We had a room full of busy bees this morning! The children worked in all areas of the room with perforation squares, numeration (1-5) and (1-10), bead stringing, phonetic sounds, tracing, and on their cutting skills.

The children had a fun time in Soccer Shots. They reviewed some the skills they have learned as well as practicing a new skill called scissors, where they circle the ball with their foot so the ball will not be easily taken away. Lots of goals were also made by very happy children. Next Tuesday will be the last class of the semester.

Welcome back, we hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Holiday. The children were excited to see friends and share the fun they had during the holiday.

On circle we worked with our sink and float lesson from our science area. We experimented with different objects to see which would sink and which would float. The children enjoyed the lesson and were eager to try it on their own!

Did you know a turkey has a beard? We worked with our turkey nomenclature lesson to help us learn the names of some of the parts of a turkey’s body. We learned that a turkey has a beard as well as a snood, caruncles, wings, tail, wattle and legs.

The children had fun working on an art project that used their coloring skills to color a turkey mask. They did a great job coloring, some of the children were eager to wear their mask while others enjoyed coloring more so than wearing the masks.

The children had a great time in music class yesterday. They danced and sang lots of songs. We got a visit from Mr. Spider and we sang a song about it and The Old Lady Who Swallowed A Spider! We played the shakers and got a visit from Tiny The Dinosaur as Mr. Jason read The Dinosaur Stomp book.
