We continued to work with our alphabet flashcards. We went over every letter and sound in the alphabet. The children were excited when we got to the sounds in their name and proudly let us know it was part of their name.

We also worked with a phonetic sounds lesson in the language area. We matched objects beginning with different phonetic sounds to the phonetic sound card it belonged with.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend.

On circle we worked with our alphabet flash cards. We reviewed the names and sounds of each letter. We also worked with another classification lesson from the math area. We classified pictures cards into groups of people, animals and things.

The children had a fun time singing and dancing in music class. We got a visit from Cowboy Earl who sang us a song about working on the railroad. The children were excited to make their own train.

We reviewed the lessons presented on circle: flower arranging, big, medium, small, fewest to most, as well as working with a classification lesson. We classified picture cards of things with work with, things we play with, and things we wear.

This afternoon we will be having a music class make-up with Mr. Jason. The children are looking forward to singing, dancing, and saying “hello” to whichever friend joins Mr. Jason in class.

We worked with a big, medium, small lesson in our language lesson. We sorted picture cards of different types of flowers by size.

The children had a fun time with Coach Adrienne in Jumpbunch class. Coach Adrienne brought paddle ball for the children to play. The children enjoyed hitting balls with Styrofoam paddles.

Did you know that a giraffe only sleeps two hours? We learned some animal facts reading a book that Harrison brought in. The children enjoyed learning about grassland animals.

On circle we worked with lessons from the math and practical life areas.

We worked with the fewest to most lesson from the math area. We graded picture cards of chicks, apples, candles, and pencils from the fewest to the most. We observed that “a few” was a little bit and “the most” was a lot.

The children enjoyed working in the practical life area with the flower arranging lesson. The children made flower arrangements that they showed to their friends using artificial flowers and vases.
