We continued to learn about maps during our circle time. We saw pictures of maps and recalled that maps may look different but they all do the same thing: show us where we are going. During our work time the children worked on a map worksheet that they helped put playground equipment on the map.

Coach Leon brought fishing rods and magnetic fish for us to catch during Jumpbunch. The children had a great time fishing!

Do you know what a map does? On circle we saw pictures of different types of maps and learned that there are different types of maps. We learned that a map shows us where we are going.

Our Family Feast is tomorrow. The Family Feast starts at 5:00p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

If you have signed up to bring in a food item for tomorrow , please bring it in a disposable tray if possible.

We presented a new lesson in the Practical Life area that the children were very eager to try. Our new lesson is a cream cheese spreading lesson. The children practiced spreading cream cheese on a piece of bread. They can choose to eat the bread or they can share with a friend. This is a fun lesson that helps the children work on their order, concentration, coordination, and independence as well as sharing.

Today was the last class of the Fall season of Soccer Shots. The children all received a group picture and a certificate.

Welcome back, we hope everyone had a great weekend.

We worked with the table setting lesson in our practical life area. We practiced the placement of dishes and silverware and during lunch the children practiced remembering to use their spoons while eating.

Do you know what harmony is? Mr. Jason told us harmony is when a combination of different notes are played or sung at the same time to make a nice sound. He brought in bells to help us create our own harmony.
